Welcome to a sesshin with Zen master Karen Terzano 14th-21th September 2024.
The sesshin will be held at Lyckebo Sommargård, 25 km from Umeå.
Our sesshin is an intensive silent meditation retreat in Zen Buddhist style with several hours of seated meditation per day, vegan food, and with the opportunity of one individual interview with the teacher a day. We welcome both experienced practitioners as well as beginners. We encourage beginners to contact us for an introduction and a chance to get some meditation experience before the retreat. The accommodation will be in bunk beds in shared rooms.
Participation fees
Saturday – Saturday: 2300 SEK
Monday – Saturday: 2000 SEK
Wednesday – Saturday: 1700 SEK

For anyone traveling long distances, let us know if you need help to arrange accommodation before and/or after the sesshin. Please contact the organizer Johan Fahlgren Howell

How to get there
You are responsible for the transportation to and from the sesshin. You can get to Lyckebo by either bus or car.
The bus leaves from Umeå bus station or the bus stop “Vasaplan”, which are located 100 meters and 500 meters from Umeå Central train station, respectively. From the bus stop it’s a 1.5 km walk to Lyckebo. Detailed information about the buses can be found in the welcome letter closer to sesshin.
If you arrive by car, and have room to spare, please notify us in the registration form.
We will provide information facilitating carpooling closer to the sesshin.
