Movie sesshins use a selected film which deals with important life issues and questions. The hope is that this approach will help students take Zen out of the realm of the special and “religious” and connect their practice to ordinary life itself. Viewing the film itself, discussion groups and work on a koan developed from the film are supported by zazen and the deep silence of sesshin.

Full time participation is recommended.
